The second instalment of our Indie Showcase series at Sneaky Dee’s features great bands performing for an even greater cause.

We’ll be highlighting the bands each day leading up to Sunday, Feb. 21st.

Today’s band is lightsweetcrude, a Toronto psychedelic jam band. They describe their sound as “raga-based mind/mood altering instrumental music… For yogis/heads/blissful movement/digging deeper… Born in the studio.” Their unique blend of Indian sitar, funk and jam-style instrumentals makes for an enlightening listening experience, blending world music in a way that is truly pleasurable on the ears. Members include Joseph Burke on electric guitar, sitar player Ram Vakkalanka, bassist Michael Kaler, Justin Ruppel on drums, and Jason Steidman on laptop + organ.
